Architectural applications

We are architects looking for alternative materials to use in fire proofing a steel-frame building in New York City. Ferro-Cement seems a good candidate to pre-fabricate column covers from, but we are unsure where to look for a fabricator. Any suggestions?

Hi Matthew, your question is too localised for me to offer much help. Only suggestions I have are a/ Check with your local Portland Cement Offices 2/American Concrete Institute, Elsevier. New York. 3/Within the local Italian community (many structural and artistic solid plasterers are Italian). 4/Check local reinforced concrete pipe and water-tank manufacturers (usually use steam curing in their processes). I have already checked out the IFIC for you with no further leads. Regards
